DAVID’S FIRST INTRODUCTION TO THE SPEEDBALL TEXTBOOK
“When I first became interested in penmanship, I became a member of IAMPETH and looked in their directory to see if any other members were in Kalamazoo. This led me to my first teacher, Dr. Bob Hosack, who was teaching a beginner’s calligraphy class in the area. He charged $20 for the class (4 sessions, 2 hours/session) and provided a pen, ink, paper, and the Speedball Textbook to every student. His generosity and passion for calligraphy is inspiring.”
