Bending the Rules: Printmaking with Akua Inks

An intensive exploration of Akua inks and ink modifiers, become familiar with the context, information, and inspiration to create richly layered monotypes and monoprints in series and variations using soy-based, water-miscible Akua inks. This workshop will cover many approaches to monotype, both traditional and experimental, including: trace transfer, reductive and additive, and viscosity rolls. No toxic fumes and extended workability of the inks make it a liberating experience. If you have experience with soy based inks, come extend you knowledge and take on more complex projects with experienced guidance.
