The Fine Art Nature Print

Explore the deep dark secrets of fine art printmaking along with a treasure trove of techniques from a seasoned printmaker!  We’ll use Speedball ‘s Gel Printing plate, cotton rag printmaking papers from The Netherlands, Asian mulberry paper and Akua Intaglio inks to pull a portfolio of highly developed nature prints. Learn how to enhance your prints by incorporating hand printed papers and rubbings using the chine collé process.

Supplies you’ll need: Natural artifacts such as leaves, shells, feathers no larger than 12”, Baby wipes (Huggies are great), 4” Soft Rubber Speedball brayer, 25 sheets of 9 x 12 newsprint, F or HB Pencil. All other supplies will be provided.
