Ordering

How do I place an order?

Just add the items you’d like to your cart and follow the checkout steps. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your order is placed.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Once an order is placed, it can’t be canceled or changed.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?

We sell directly to consumers on this site.
If you’re a retailer, school, or organization interested in wholesale, please contact our wholesale team at placeanorder@speedballart.com.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept major debit/credit cards and any additional payment methods shown at checkout.

Shipping

Where do you ship from?

All orders ship from our warehouse in Statesville, North Carolina.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Free Standard Shipping on orders of $99 or more (before tax, after discounts).

What shipping options do you offer?

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time. We currently ship within the United States only.

How long does order processing take?

Handling time is 1–2 business days. This is in addition to the delivery estimates above.

Do you offer expedited shipping on all items?

Some oversized or hazardous items (such as presses, wheels, aerosols, and specific inks) may not be eligible for expedited shipping.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for items in new, unused condition in original packaging.

Which items are non-returnable?

For safety and quality reasons, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Open inks
  • Opened mediums
  • Cut paper
  • Clearance items
  • Tools or materials that show signs of use

How do I start a return?

Use our returns portal. A prepaid label will be provided, and a $9.95 return fee will be deducted from your refund.

When will I receive my refund?

Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are issued to your original payment method. Please allow 3–5 business days for processing by your bank.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • A photo of the item
  • A photo of the packaging (if shipping-related)

We’ll send a replacement or issue a refund, whichever you prefer.

Products & Materials

Are your products safe to use?

All Speedball products are labeled according to applicable safety standards, including ASTM D4236. Products are safe for their intended use when directions and safety guidance are followed.

Where can I find Safety Data Sheets (SDS)?

All products requiring an SDS are available on our website. If you need help locating one or have a safety question about a particular product, please contact customerservice@speedballart.com.

Why might colors look different on my screen?

Displays vary in color calibration and brightness. Actual colors may differ slightly from the color chart you see online.

Account & Website

Do I need an account to place an order?

No — guest checkout is available. Creating an account lets you track orders and save your information for next time.

How do I reset my password?

Click “Forgot your password?” on the login page and follow the instructions.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant third-party providers. We do not store full credit card numbers.

Art Safety & Use

Are Speedball inks and materials AP-certified?

Many Speedball products are reviewed under ASTM D4236 and carry AP or CL certifications when appropriate. Certification varies by material, so please refer to individual product pages or contact us with questions.

Are your inks safe for children or classrooms?

Some Speedball materials are AP-certified and suitable for children and classrooms, while others are designed for adult use. Each product page includes the certification and safety information required for that item. If you're unsure about a specific product, please contact customerservice@speedballart.com. We're happy to help.

How do I know if something is hazardous?

Items that contain flammable solvents or other regulated materials will include hazard labeling and may ship via Ground only.

Order Issues

My tracking shows delivered, but I didn’t receive my package. What do I do?

Start by checking:

  • Your mailbox
  • Around your porch or entry
  • With neighbors
  • With building management (for apartments)

If you still can’t locate it, contact us and we’ll help investigate.

I received the wrong item. What should I do?

Contact us and we’ll fix it right away at no cost to you.
