Brooke Thivierge

My work consists of throwing on the wheel, hand building, carving and painting with underglazes. My inspiration comes from the natural world. Growing up I was taught to respect the great outdoors and never take more than you need. My work is meant to help others acknowledge their connection with nature. Not only is the pottery held in your hands, but the animal’s fate is also in our hands. As you pause for a moment of gratitude while you sip your drink from one of my painted or sculpted mugs, you’ll admire the image and remember nature is a part of you. We need to be thankful for all that it gives and find ways to give back.
