Screen Printing is a process in which ink is pushed through a weaved mesh onto a surface to create an image. With a variety of methods to choose from, a stencil is applied to a screen to block out certain parts of the mesh to prevent ink from passing through, ensuring a clean print of your desired image. Most often images are printed onto paper or fabric, but there are a range of other materials to print on as well.
There are three primary means of producing a screen printed image: Cut Paper Stencil Method, Drawing Fluid & Screen Filler, and Photo Emulsion. Before getting started, read through these descriptions to see which technique best suits your artwork and interest, or matches the kit purchased.
